We want to hear from children and young people that live in the Vale about whether they have the time, space and permission they need for playing and hanging out.
The Welsh Government has placed a duty on all local authorities to assess the sufficiency of play opportunities and support increased access where possible. To help with this, we want to find out what children and young people currently think about their opportunities to play and hang out, and whether there is anything that can help improve this. To support this, we are undertaking a ‘Play – Have your Say’ survey which we hope will help us to build a picture of what it’s like for children playing in the Vale of Glamorgan. It will also help build a national picture across Wales, as the same survey is being undertaken in other LA’s.
I would be grateful if you could share this information amongst your networks and residents so we can hear from as many children and young people as possible. The survey can be found at the link below, on our Facebook page or we can send paper copies. The deadline is 28th February 2025.
